Keeping SecuritySpy running when logged out

Is there a setting to enable SS to keep running when logged out. I run it on a Mac which has multiple users and users switch accounts when they use it.

  • Unfortunately not - as an application with a standard Mac user interface, SecuritySpy cannot be run as a daemon before login. The solution is to keep the user account that runs SecuritySpy logged in all the time, even if you switch to a different account. SecuritySpy should continue to run in the background account (although macOS may throttle resources to background user accounts, so this could cause performance problems for SecuritySpy - there is no way round this currently apart from to keep the SecuritySpy user in the foreground whenever possible).

  • Yes, that does work leaving it logged in. I can see a bit of a performance degradation when switched to another account but it''s not too bad and I can live with that. The SS account is the one that is logged in 95% of the time.
