Upgrading from 2012 to 2023 mac

Currently running SS3 on 2012 Mini (OS=Sierra.)

If I moved to a current M2 Mini I'd need to buy SS5.

Would I have to be setting up all of my cameras completely from scratch in the software, or is there some way to migrate settings?

Any other general thoughts from anyone who's made a similar jump appreciated.

    You would not have to set everything up again. If you use Apple's Migration Assistant, it will copy over all settings files, and the new version of SecuritySpy will read the settings file from the old version of SecuritySpy.
