I am just speccing a new installation and using the SRC. However, I'm a little confused by the frame rate question as I have never manually set any Frame rates with SS. Frame rate fields in my settings are always blank. Do I fill it in with the native frame rate of the cameras I am using ?

    For most cameras, frame rates can't be requested by the client and must be set in the camera's web interface directly. Log on to the camera using a web interface and locate the camera's video encoding settings, and you should find an option there to set the frame rate. Many cameras come preset to their highest frame rate, which is often something like 30fps, but for general-purpose CCTV this is far too high and a waste of processing and storage resources. We recommend around 10fps as a good tradeoff between fluidity and resource usage.

    Yes, you are right, it is set to 30fps.
