I've been using the HomeHelper app for about a year now without any issues. I'd like to ask for the ability to minimize the window or maybe change it so it runs from the toolbar. Not a huge priority--more of an annoyance for me. Everything else works great!

    Apple does not provide a macOS API to interact with HomeKit, which is why HomeHelper is required to act as a bridge between HomeKit and SecuritySpy. HomeHelper is a Catalyst app, which is basically an iOS app that runs on macOS. With iOS apps - and therefore by extension Catalyst apps - when you hide them, they are completely suspended by the OS. For HomeHelper, this would result in all Home actions and triggers stopping working. So, this is why we have made HomeHelper impossible to minimise or hide; it's vital for its continuous operation. Unfortunately there is no way around this - it's a limitation imposed by Apple.

    Thanks for the explanation! For the functionality I get out of the app, I can live with this.
