Hi

Just got a Mac Mini with SecuritySpy running on it, it works perfectly and is exactly what I have been looking for, I used to use my Qnap for surveillance which was a pain in the a**

I use the app for iPad and iPhone for access to recorded files, but how about Mac's?? Is there an app or ...??

Thanks

John

  • You must be talking about the browser, look at the screenshot I posted that's where u can see the recorded files that are saved.

  • Yeah I know ….but im thinking of access the recording from another Mac than the one SecuritySpy is running on

  • U can side load the iOS app to the Mac if its supported.

  • On another Mac, you can use any web browser to access SecuritySpy, which gives you access to live video as well as recordings. On the SecuritySpy Mac, go to Settings > Web, and click the "How Do I Access This Server" button. Take the http URL that has the domain ending in "local" and you can use this in a web browser on any other Mac on your network.

Alternatively, if the viewing Mac has an Apple Silicon chip, you can indeed run the SecuritySpy iOS app on it.

  • Yes...perfect, thanks Ben :-)
