edited August 20 in SecuritySpy

If anyone has had this before, what am I spoiling?

Dual lens camera, gives the error message below (ONVIF setting):

Error from camera "Dual", it will be closed. (Failed to decompress incoming video frame 22185,-12902 Video Toolbox parameter error)

This camera gives 2 x 4K videos in one:

  • VideoToolbox is the Apple framework that SecuritySpy uses to decode incoming video frames from IP cameras. Its unusual to see this particular error, but it indicates that the video being provided by the camera is somehow incompatible with VideoToolbox. Here are some things to try:

    • Make sure the camera is running the latest firmware version offered by the manufacturer.
    • Make sure any proprietary encoding options in the camera are disabled.
    • If there is a choice of "profile" for example "baseline", "main", "high", try all of these in turn.
    • If there is a choice of CBR vs. VBR encoding, try both of these in turn.
    • If there is a choice between H.264 vs. H.265 encoding, try both of these in turn.

If the above doesn't resolve the issue, please email us and include a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop) and we'll take a look to see if there is anything further we can suggest.

  • I changed the card in the camera and it was fixed

    😅

  • The SD card? That's odd, but I'm glad to hear that this is now working!
