These are for easy access to camera-specific commands (e.g. focus adjustment, light control, siren control etc.). Shell commands can be used for many things, but primarily in this case useful for issuing HTTP requests using curl, as shown in your screenshot. The commands you set up here will be available in the contextual menu that pops up when you right-click on a camera's video image in any video window, or on the camera name in the Camera Info window.
Maybe, although the functions that will be specified here by users aren't necessarily related to PTZ, so it may be a bit counter-intuitive to have them as buttons in the PTZ panel. And, they aren't going to be used by the vast majority of users, so we don't want to waste space in the UI for buttons that will almost always be inactive. I think for now they will stay in the contextual menu, although we do plan to add access to them via the web interface somehow.

Can u add 4 buttons A B C D to the ptz cotroller interface to correspond with these functions?
