Are there benefits of running cameras on IPV6?
Just wondering if, aside from security, there are other benefits of running cameras and the system with IPV6 instead of dedicated IPV4 addresses?

There is no reason to use IPv6 over IPv4 for addressing within your internal network (LAN). The main reason for IPv6 is that the Internet is running out of IPv4 addresses, which has become a significant issue. ISPs increasingly have to take steps such as Carrier-grade NAT in order to serve all their customers, which adds complexity, reduces performance and reliability, and gives customers less flexibility in how they can use their connection. This is why IPv6 is increasingly (but slowly) becoming the new standard for Internet (WAN) addressing.

Thanks Ben,
I knew about the IP shortage so that makes total sense. That it doesn’t get any other preferential treatment/benefit through switches or other infrastructure is good to know.
