REOLINK PRESETS

Hi all:

I have a series of Reolink cameras (a total of 7). They all work wonderfully well once I've learned to activate the ONVIF settings in the Reolink Mac App. Additionally, I was having challenges where the cameras would go dark sporadically throughout the night and it turns out I needed a more powerful POE injector. The one I was using was under-powered and when the lights come on at night, it draws too much power.

So... all is good in Reolink land including snappy PTZ, night vision and great optical zoom (21+). However, I'd very much like to be able to control / set the presets through SecuritySpy. Currently, I can set presets through the Reolink app, but they do not appear to map to the presets in SS. And I'm unable to set presets through SS either. So my only way to get around in SS with the cameras is via PTZ which can be tricky and less efficient of course. Plus I can't program it into my home automation software (sensor open, zoom to location) which is one of the functionalities I've become accustomed to.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to get presets to work on Reolink cameras?

    I've been experiencing similar issues with my Sunba PTZ. Have you checked in Setup, Advanced Setup Options... if "Use numerical-only ONVIF PTZ preset names" is selected? I've also tried that, no joy.

    Thanks for that tip! It worked for me. I switched the presets on the camera using the Reolink app to numerical titles (1, 2, 3). I restarted SS and now the presets work!
