Script ideas for returning to Home position?
There's a bug in the firmware of my PTZ camera and auto tracking that essentially the camera loses its mind and will spin perpetually until I go in and click the "home" preset either in the web GUI of the camera of SS. This creates unnecessary wear on the camera and can create very large files.
Until this gets addressed via a firmware update, is there a way in SS to do something that worse case, has a script that runs and always returns the camera to Home position every 60 seconds, or, perhaps looks at whether the camera is writing to a file (I think it's .unf???) and if said file is greater than Y MBs, then execute the return to Home preset?
Ideally the camera doesn't continue to lose it's mind, but I rather not keep checking every few minutes to see it's been spinning.

There is a web-based API that you could use, along with a timed execution in MacOS (cron or cron-like tool) that probably will do what you want. https://www.bensoftware.com/securityspy/web-server-spec.html
Another possibility to achieve this is to enable SecuritySpy's PTZ auto-patrol feature, with a cycle time of 60 seconds, with just one preset enabled that points to the home position. Auto-patrol is described in the user manual here: Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ).
