Port Forwarding
Hello everyone.
I am having an issue accessing my security cams from outside my network. I have set up my port forwarding a number of times and cannot seem to get access. My first Mac Mini was set up correctly and, for the most part, worked in/outside my network. Somewhere between a Bensoft update and my "new" 2020 Mac Mini I lost the ability to port forward and access remotely.
Any and all help is appreciated.
I am using:
2020 Mac mini M1
Ventura 13
4 Lorex LND3374S-C IP cameras
D-Link DGS-1100-08P switch
And Security Spy🙂

The important thing is to know the IP address of the Mac mini and which ports SecuritySpy is using (standard 8000 and 8001).
Next is to login your router and configure the port forward - this specific for your model router.
In my Cisco router the following config - I'm only using https via port 8001 and my Mac is on 192.168.178.220:
Local IP address = 192.168.178.220
Internal Port = 8001
External Port = 8001
Protocol = TCP
More information in the SecuritySpy manual https://bensoftware.com/securityspy/manual/

the missing info is the model of your router
Also you might place a screenshot of the port forward config you made...

Please follow this FAQ: I'm unable to access my system remotely - how can I troubleshoot this?
If this doesn't solve it, it would be best if we help you directly to solve this issue rather than via the forum, since we will need detailed information about your system that you may not want to to share publicly, and because every case is a bit different. So, please email us and include a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop), as well as screenshots of any router confirmation you have made, and please let us know the make/model of your router.
