Audio not triggering?
I'm using a new IP camera to capture audio -- in my case, loud dogs next door.
But I can't seem to convince SecuritySpy to trigger on noise.
Funny thing is, it was working a week ago. I have folders with audio events for Oct. 10 and 12-15.
The only thing I've done since the 15th is swap my security drive for a larger drive. Same formatting specs, same Volume name. The old drive is not mounted anymore.
Things I've checked:
- Double and triple checked both the "default" storage location and this camera's specific folder. Even tried making it a new folder.
- SecuritySpy has Full Disk Access, i.e., not just limited to folders where it is writing other cameras' footage.
- The drive has 11TB free, and it's the same drive where the other cameras capture to (they're working fine)
- "Enable audio level detection" is checked
- Tried threshold values from 1-100 while listening to said dogs (applying preferences after each change)
- I have 5 cameras, and only this camera has a mic, so the audio I'm hearing is definitely from this new camera.
- I can hear the dogs through my over-ear studio headphones -- both in real life 100 feet away indoors in my office, and delayed coming through SecuritySpy from my camera. I can mute and unmute the camera.
- No AI trigger checkboxes checked
- Most of the video window is in the green ignore mask, so basically audio is the only expected trigger for this particular camera.
- Audio device is set to "This network device"
- Movie capture is checked, with settings "One movie per event", 15fps, 1s pre, 10s post. No upload.
- Under Actions, I have "highlight with red box" and "notification on this Mac" checked, so I'm not just relying on folders/files showing up to know when it triggered. delay 0s, reset 10s.
- Device is using the ONVIF profile (cheap Wansview camera from Amazon)
- I just unchecked "ignore whole-frame motion", in case that would also impede audio-only triggers. Doesn't seem to have worked.
Currently using SecuritySpy 5.5.1 on MacOS 12.6.
Any ideas?
