Fridgecam

Idea would be a Fridgecam, great if you have two work or livespaces to see whats in the fridge.

Is there any battery driven Cam that has a light and compatible with securityspy?

Also fokus must be quite close like a close-up. Securityspy could even make a picture when you open the fridge by motion sensor.

Possible?

Edit: something like this maybe?

  • You know, unless it can read the expiration date on the milk, I don’t think it’s be that useful -

    ;-)

  • Nice idea, but there are no battery-powered cameras that work with SecuritySpy. This is because SecuritySpy requires a constant video stream from the camera, and battery-powered cameras simply don't have the amount of energy required to do this for any significant period of time.

Something like an Axis P12 series camera could be useful for this kind of thing (e.g. the P1254), as they are very compact, however close focus may be an issue (this would be a question for Axis), and resolution is limited - I doubt you'd be able to read expiration dates!

  • Oh its not about expiration days, it is about what is in the fridge at all. Do I need butter etc. Expiration dates you will have to guess. Milk will be Ok if you were there a week ago If it’s a month, buy milk on the way. Battery powered cams not working with SS kills the idea anyway :)

  • Don't some smart fridges already have built in cameras?
