Wyze RTSP error with SS

I'm running the current beta of SS and the latest RTSP firmware on Wyze cams. I'm running both v3 and v2 cameras with their respective firmware for RTSP.

In SS, I get an error for these cameras every so often (a few times per minute) that says "No Valid Frames Recently."

Is this a Wyze firmware issue, a local wireless LAN issue, or a SS software issue? Suggestions anyone?

  • Unfortunately this is a Wyze firmware issue. This error means that the camera has not sent a valid video frame for the last 15 seconds or so, and when this happens SecuritySpy will generate this error and will attempt to disconnect and reconnect to the camera.     Some users seem to have had better success than others. I don't think there is anything we will be able to do about this on our side, so I hope this will be fixed in a future camera firmware update.
