RemoteSIght audio in RTSP not working
I purchased RemoteSight in order to stream my MacMini's camera & audio via RTSP to various endpoints (an NVR, GlanceCam, LiveCamsPro, etc.). The video from either the camera or the mac's screen feed is working fine, but no matter what audio input I specify in the settings, I don't hear anything. Any suggestions?

Following up on this, it seems when I restart RemoteSight the audio works, at least for a while, if I'm using a mic on a USB camera that is attached and the video feed is coming from the camera. When I stream the rtsp feed from the MacMini's screen, there is no audio feed coming into SecuritySpy or other viewers. Is that expected behavior? Also, I tried installing BlackHole (virtual audio driver) to pipe the computer's audio as the audio feed and when I do that, I get no audio feed being detected in SecuritySpy (no speaker icon shows, and A Format column just shows "-").

In the latest beta version of RemoteSight (currently 1.5.2b1), audio is now enabled for the screen stream as well as the camera stream. Please confirm this now works as expected.
In order to get audio coming through, you must select a valid audio input source in RemoteSight's settings, and then if you are using SecuritySpy as the receiver, audio needs to be enabled under Preferences > Cameras > Audio. -
I installed the beta and can confirm I'm getting audio on both feeds now, which is great! I have this setup on two new M1 MacMinis, and I'm having audio issues with one however, where the audio sounds like Darth Vader on quaaludes - super drown out slow sounding. What might be causing that? This is using the built-in mic of the Avaya HC020 camera (high-end video conferencing camera: https://www.avaya.com/jp/documents/fs-huddle-cameras-dv8180en.pdf?t=0). The audio sounds totally normal on the Mac when it's running Zoom or anything locally - I'm only experiencing this when I stream it over RemoteSight. On my second device, I'm using a Huddly Go camera which has no mic, so I have an external USB mic which sounds fine. Thanks in advance for any tips.

This sounds like a sample rate issue. We've made some changes to the audio input functions that will hopefully resolves this - you will find a new 1.5.2b2 beta at the same beta download page as above - please download and install this one (make sure to quite the old one first) and let me know if this resolves the problem or not.

Thanks for letting me know - I installed the beta and it appears to have resolved the issue entirely! I'll post if anything changes.

Great to hear that, thanks for reporting back.
