Is there a way to control the PTZ functionality of a camera connected via USB?

Hello, unfortunately not; SecuritySpy supports mechanical PTZ for IP cameras only.

However SecuritySpy does offer digital PTZ functionality in video windows for all cameras. You can read more about this here: SecuritySpy User Manual - Video Windows.
