access issues when not on home wifi
  • I am having an issue where I cannot view the cameras through the phone app when I am off wifi. I have an older mac and am using version 4.2.12 Thoughts?
  • The first thing to do is go through our instructions to set up remote access to SecuritySpy (the procedure is the same for SecuritySpy v4 and v5).

    The most common reason for failure with this is the port forwarding settings in the router. SecuritySpy attempts to set this up automatically, but it's not always possible. So, if you are still having problems with this, the next step is to follow the "Port Forwarding - Manual Setup" instructions via the above link.
