How can I View motion captures on the same day?

I motion capture my cameras into a single file per day. The files are a reasonable size, and I like watching a whole day continuously at 5x to check activity.

As you know, the file is "unf" until the end of the day, and therefore not viewable. Is there a work-around so I can see same-day motion?

Also, is the expectation that that the file switches to a new-one every night at midnight in my local timezone?

    Hi Jeff,

    It sounds like you are using the "One movie per day" option for motion capture. In this case, the movie will indeed finish at midnight in the local time zone of your SecuritySpy server, and the next one will start upon the first motion event on the next day.

    You can view these unfinished files in two ways: the first is via the web interface, using a web browser such as Safari; the second is using the Browser feature (Window menu -> Browser).
