GDrive/Dropbox

Not sure if anyone has managed to do this but I'm trying to use the off-site FTP storage option to automatically up-load files to GDrive or Dropbox however these services don't seem to allow access via FTP. Is there a work around or is SecuritySpy considering supporting this?

  • You can use a script to copy/move files to the local Dropbox or GDrive designated folder which will then let that service to upload the files like any other file.

(The script can be simple or advanced and handle cleaning up older files and such things depending on space and desires for how many days worth you want on the other service, if it's uploading video - you probably want the script to only copy over finished videos and ignore the .unf capture ones, if you even want videos copied, it could be set to only do images)
  • Why don't you just store your Security Spy Captured file folder within the Dropbox folder on your Mac? I did that for several years and it worked great. Any video captured was immediately uploaded to Dropbox.

I recently started storing the files in iCloud Drive. That seems to be working well also.
