To update SS with minor updates do you just download the trial version and plug-in your name/serial number? Silly question but not sure and would like to keep up with updates.

  • Just noticed my spelling error with "Secruity" Spy. Long week.
  • Download the latest version, mount the disk image, and drag the SecuritySpy application into your Applications folder. The operating system will ask if you want to replace the application that's already there. Hit Yes and it should copy over. Launch SecuritySpy and it should keep all your settings/registrations.

Before starting the process, you could copy the SecuritySpy application out of your Applications folder to another location as a backup. That way, if for some reason you wanted to downgrade, you would simply drag that version back into your apps folder.
  • Thanks, needed affirmation that settings/registrations would transfer while keeping the old copy just in case.
  • Everything carried. Was hoping it would help with PTZ errors in Indigo Plug-in but issues remain. : (
  • When upgrading, all settings should be carried over. And for within-version upgrades (going from one 4.x version to a higher 4.x version), you won't need to re-enter your serial number.

As for the Indigo PTZ errors, are you receiving some kind of error code or description? If so, what are these?
