Why is SecuritySpy generating .unf files?

And what app opens them?

    That is an unfinished file - SecuritySpy is still recording it most likely - although if they are hanging around it could be because it crashed while recording.
    a Continuously recording camera set to "hourly on the hour" for example will always have one of these on the go, each hour it'll complete the file, then start a new .unf
