Trying to add an HDView camera
Hi,
I bought a few HDView cameras from Amazon that claims to support onvif. I'm having a difficult time getting the cameras to play nicely with SecuritySpy. Any pointers on getting these cameras to work with SecuritySpy?

3. Under the Camera Setup tab, I'm not able to get the preview window to connect to the camera. I've tried every combination of selecting the onvif or manual configuration profiles, along with switching between the 3 formats in the Device tab. I even tried not specifying a username/password after enabling anonymous in the camera's web interface. I've left the http and rtsp ports blank as well as specifying 80 and 554 (grabbing the values from the next line item).
4. From a Windows machine I'm able to get Blue Iris to connect to this camera using a generic profile. Screenshot of the Blue Iris setup - http://mnch.in/TWLm/1o8MOIGI
5. I'm not sure if this is helpful, but here's the xml i get when I try to access the camera's web interface from anything other than IE. screenshot - http://mnch.in/VtzA/sZ36paCh
6. Most of the log.txt entries from trying to get these cameras to work have the following:
10/10/2016 00:06:30: Error communicating with the network device "TEST NY". 4.0.7,89900,8800 Failed to obtain video frame from network device.

Hi Jonathan,
According to the working Blue Iris setup screen, this should work in SecuritySpy:
- Set the profile to Manual
- Enter 10.51.4.203 as the address
- Leave the port boxes blank
- Enter the admin username and password
- Select RTSP as the Format
- Leave the Request box blank.
When do you do this, do you get a connection? If not, what are the new errors that are written to the log file? -
Hi,
I'm still not able to connect with the suggested settings. Here's the log file output:
10/11/2016 23:15:16: Error communicating with the network device "Network camera". 4.0.7,8440,800 Failed to obtain video frame from network device. The operation timed out.
From another Mac running SecuritySpy (we love you and have multiple licenses!) the error message is:
10/11/2016 23:15:16: Error communicating with the network device "NY TEST". 4.0.7,70184,1245 Failed to obtain video frame from network device.

I'm not sure if this is helpful but I took a packet capture connecting to the problematic camera from both Blue Iris and SecuritySpy. http://mnch.in/11Y8M/2I7JGpDf
If this is useful, I can increase the verbosity or submit a capture in a pcap/wireshark format. -

I'm still testing the settings but I kinda figured it out. http://mnch.in/wwpL/3x1UHgYC
Any idea what the difference is between the High, Main, and Base profiles? SecuritySpy will work on Main and Base. Out of the box, the camera is set to High Profile.
