v4.0.5 on OSX 10.9.5
Has SecuritySpy v4.0.5 been tested on OSX 10.9.5?
Ever since upgrading I've not been able to get 4.0.5 to record continuously under 10.9.5 -- I'm recording one camera with new files created hourly. Once I [re]start the app, it will record until it gets to the top of the hour, then it stops recording anything. When I exit the app, it will close the file it was last recording. I can see the file get written with the timestamp of when I close SecuritySpy, even though it may have stopped recording days earlier.
I regularly get kernel warnings about excessive wakeups and it spin dumps, plus various GUI log messages (e.g. "Invalid color System, labelColor")... but I don't think those are related to the problem at hand. These are the console messages from the top of the hour:

SecuritySpy has been tested on OS X 10.9.5 and there are no known problems. The messages in the Console seem benign and won't be related to any capture problems.
The first thing to do is to download and install the latest version of SecuritySpy (currently 4.0.6) to see if this resolves the issue.
If not, please let me know and we will investigate further. -
So... update. I updated the machine in question to El Capitan and opened up permissions on the target storage device. Same problems -- it won't record past the hour mark except very occasionally.
As a side effect, the date/times in the browser are wonky. As I write this, I'm looking at the browser for today: 9/26 at 10:30AM EST. The browser lists a file named "9/21/2016 20 C BackCam.m4v" and places it on todays timeline at 21:00 (i.e. tonight, which hasn't happened yet, at 10pm). The time embedded in the video shows the video was from this morning at 6:21AM EST.
Uh, how does this make any sense whatsoever???
As others have noted, the browser so far inferior to the v3 browser in many ways. I'm either reverting to the previous version at this point or punting entirely.
