Feature Request
I've recently purchased a 4-camera license for SecuritySpy. I was previously using Evocam, a competing product that had become unstable is no longer being developed and supported. I very much like SecuritySpy, but I miss two features found in Evocam and I'm wondering if they could be considered for a future update to SecuritySpy?
1. The ability to create an automatic timelapse image archive that allows you to speed through viewing motion events in single file, allowing fast searching for motion events of interest. It's really a more efficient way finding events than going through all the videos recorded. I really miss this feature. (BTW, is there a way of doing this now in SecuritySpy?)
2. I know that SecuritySpy does masking to eliminate parts of the image area. Evocam did the inverse- it allows you to define certain areas within the camera field that are of interest and to separately define and set the motion sensitivity in these areas. I'm sure it's an entire different approach to the software and may not be possible with the way SecuritySpy handles images and videos, but I thought I'd ask about it.

1) the browser allows fast searching - I have SecuritySpy to save images of motion events as well as the video - faster to quickly scrub through the images than the video. Not sure if that will work for you.
2) In the "Mask" section, you can invert the selection which will do what you want in a round-about method. -
Thank you, Brian. Being new to SecuritySpy, I hadn't explored the 'browser' feature, but I can see that this might very well meet my needs. I appreciate your response. .

As Brian says, the Browser allows fast searching, and the fastest way to do this is with "JKL" control which is standard across most video playback applications (search the SecuritySpy User Manual for JKL to find a description of this).
As for the mask, this does define areas of the frame to ignore for motion detection. Any areas not covered by the mask are used for motion detection, and will trigger recording as set for the camera in the Preferences window.
