Error when attempting FTP

I am attempting to use SecuritySpy (32 bit version) on a Macintosh running 10.7.5. When I set up the FTP server and test the setting, I get the following error codes:

When the setting is set to FTP:
Connecting to server…
Error 90045,61

When the setting is set to FTPS:
Connecting to server…
Error 90045,61

When the setting is set to SFTP:
Connecting to server…
Error 1320,88794 Permission denied
(publicly,keyboard-interactive).
Connection closed

I can connect to the remote FTP server on the computer using SSH on Terminal and with Fetch.

Can someone give me an idea as to what the above error codes mean?? Thanks!

  • Hi - SFTP is the correct protocol to use (which is file transfer over SSH). The error code indicates that your username and/or password is incorrect, so please re-enter these into SecuritySpy.

    Does that fix it?
  • No dice. SFTP still give me the same error as above after carefully entering my username and password correctly. SSH in Terminal connects properly.
  • Anyone have any ideas or a workaround? It seems that SecuritySpy isn't sending the username or password correctly.
