As far as reviewing motion triggered activity goes I personally prefer to setup the motion capture to record 1 video per day. However if I do this I don't get (as far as I can tell) the option of ftping individual motion capture video's to my ftp server. I like that ftp option as it gives me the redundant storage should someone steal the mac mini ! Is it possible to have my cake and eat it ? Local recording of movies (one per day) and a separate ftp snapshot of individual movies per event ?

    Hi Dave,

    With the one-per-day option, SecuritySpy has to wait until the end of the day in order to upload the file. Before then, the file is incomplete and won't play back, and besides, you wouldn't want a new upload of the file every time something was added to it (there's no way to upload just a portion of the file, so it would have to do the whole thing each time).

    So on balance you may prefer to use the option to create a new file for each event.
