Motion capture starts and stops

Hi-

Motion is detected and
the recording begins. However, the recording stops after approximately 15
to 25 seconds even though continuing activity takes place.

The software begins capturing the same continuing activity where it left
off in a separate movie and the process repeats itself until there's no
longer any motion.

I've checked everything and cannot find any setting to account for this.
Other than this, the system works fine.

Any ideas on this?

Hi Mark,

The amount of motion must be dropping to a level where recording stops. The solution is to increase the post-capture time in the Preferences -> Cameras -> Motion Capture window. Try 20 seconds.

I don't know if this should be a separate entry, but when I define one video per 24 hours, more than half of the time the cameras record one video for every event, even though the preferences are set to record one video per 24.

This morning two cameras showed this anomaly from yesterday. When I re-set them in preferences, four out of six camera began to record separate events instead of long movies.

FWIW: when I first set up SS v.4 it recorded stills even though I had turned off that function and turned on motion capture.
