After upgrading to SS4, all cameras show 'Error 801'
Hi,
I have been running SS3 for months now, it was a bit tricky to set up with my cameras to begin with but eventually configured it correctly. I have been very happy with it ever since.
I got the email about the new version and I was eligible for a free upgrade so I did it. Dragged the new app into applications folder and overwrote the old one. Opened the new version and all my camera feeds show "Error 801 (see log)". I have 2 x TOP-201 and 1 x TOP-201IR, all of which were configured using this forum post...

Here is what it shows in the log...

I had a play around with port settings, tried ONVIF profile and had no luck. Did a port scan to ensure the regular ports are used by the camera and these were the results of open ports...

All camera feeds are available via the HTTP protocol in a web browser.
I'm out of ideas.
Thanks heaps,
Daniel

Nevermind. I restructured the network a little to put less load on the switch the cameras are connected to. Rebooted everything (cameras, router, imac) and tried again. Still had the same error, walked away for 10 mins, came back and the streams were all working.
New update is nice, its much less frustrating having the preferences all in the same window. Cheers for the good work!
Looking forward to an AppleTV client app! Easy CCTV is the best i've found and it sucks!
Cheers. -
Great to hear the problem resolved itself. The error indicates the cameras were returning an HTML page rather than a video stream. Perhaps they were temporarily unable to supply video for some reason. Hopefully this problem won't repeat itself.
