PSA-Special characters not allowed in device password
I just discovered that the only reason my new Foscam wouldn't work was due to special characters in the password. The camera was fine with them, but SecuritySpy was not. I removed "!" and "-" characters from the password.
This also "fixed" some old DLink cameras that I had tried years ago. Maybe my search was poor, but I could not find a thread that explained this limitation.
