Camera numbers changing

We have a web solution where our clients can log in to our film studio and watch their recordings in realtime. We use SecuritySpy as a means to take the streams from 4 different cameras and publish them on the website.
We use the format "http://server.company.com:8003/live?cameraNum=14&viewMethod=0&imageSize=0&windowWidth=1742&63969"
for the different streams.
We see the CameraNum in the Device Map window but our problem is that the Camera numbers doesn't seem to be consistent all the time. Especially if we connect other devices to the computer.
Is there a way to define a static camera number for each camera or are there other ways to make it foolproof that you really get to the cam you want from outside?

Once assigned when a camera is first set up, SecuritySpy's camera numbers don't change. So you must be seeing some other issue. Could you describe in more detail the problem, including steps to reproduce?
