I have the P7216 installed and can view footage via it's web interface but I can't get Security Spy to detect the cameras. In video device settings what device type should I use? Under address it does show all 4 groups but Cameras all show no video in status.

  • You said "it does show all 4 groups" - so it sounds like you are seeing four address in the small menu to the right of the "Address" box in the Video Device Settings window - is that correct?

This device is actually four 4-input video servers together in one box. So each group of four inputs corresponds to one network address. This is why you are seeing four address, which are actually Bonjour addresses (which are easier to use than IP addresses as they don't need any configuration).

So, to set up each input:

    - Create a new network device
    - Select one of the Bonjour addresses from the list
    - Select the device type Axis (JPEG and H.264)
    - Select the H.264 RTSP Format option
    - Enter the device's username (usually "root") and password
    - Select an input number (1-4) corresponding to a physical input for this group

For the first group of four inputs, use the first address and input numbers 1-4; for the second group of four inputs, use the second address and input numbers 1-4 etc.

    Hope this helps.
