H265 camera

would securityspy ever have full support h265 cameras/compression. e.g DS-2CD3345-I

    SecuritySpy currently supports the video formats JPEG, MxPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264, but not H.265 at the moment because it's very new and there's no built-in decoding support for it in any of Apple's APIs at the moment. Virtually all cameras on the market use H.264 and while the industry may indeed gradually move to this new format, this is likely to be a very slow migration.

    When H.265 becomes more popular, it likely that decoding support will be added by Apple in an upcoming system update (perhaps in the successor to El Capitan next year), and when this happens we will be able to support this new format.

    It looks like h265 is starting to catch on. I just got an ad from Mavlon Tech advertising a bunch of their h265 cameras. Has there been any movement from Apple to support it yet?
