How to Use SecuritySpy in "View Only" (read "free" mode)??
I had SS set up and working fine on it's new Mac Pro platform and I've begun work on how to view remotely. Initially when I was tinkering with the first demo camera, I installed SS on my iMac 27"...for the time being the Mac Pro/27" is sitting right beside it. I went to fire up the first SS app and it turned the "real one" into "Demo Mode". How can I get that switched back? In the meantime, I've delved further into the instructions and found: http://www.bensoftware.com/securityspy/manual/index.html#ssvideoserver and will continue working through that once we get the main box back online...

Never mind... That was easy enough to get back online... I'll continue "per the instructions" this time! ;-)

Hi Eric, good to hear you worked it out.
For anyone else reading this thread, the viewing-only copy of SecuritySpy needs to be left unregistered with all its cameras in Passive mode. Then you can use it free for the purposes of viewing video from a licensed instance of SecuritySpy running on another Mac.
