No video to Security Spy from 2nd camera?

We had a short power outage this morning and now only one camera is feeding video to Security Spy. The cameras are connected with ethernet cables, no wifi. I can see the videos from both cameras in Safari but only one camera in Security Spy. So I think the problem is with Security Spy and not the hardware?

I have Axis cameras and using Security Spy on a MacPro.

I use Security Spy to save the daily video feeds to an external hard drive.

Any help all be appreciated.

  • Hi - if the camera is set to get an IP address automatically via DHCP, this can change when the camera is power cycled. Instead, we recommend setting up each camera with a static IP address, as described by our instructions Setting up network cameras.

If the camera already has a static address, and you are sure that this is correct in SecuritySpy, please email us screenshots of all relevant settings windows (including the Video Device Settings window, the camera's settings pages showing its IP setup, and the Safari window when connected to the camera) and we will look into this further.

To capture a screenshot, press command-shift-4 and select the area you want to capture. A file called "Screen shot" will appear on your desktop.
