Password Protected

Hello,

We are evaluating SecuritySpy 3.4.3 on a MAC Mini server with a 4 camera license.

When we enable the Password Protected option for the Web server, it seems to properly restrict access to the Web UI until you enter a valid user/pass combination. The issue is that when Web server Password Protection is enabled, the cameras disappear from both the Remote Patrol and Spyglass apps.

I am sure we are missing something, but would someone be able to point us in the right direction?

Our objectives:

Secured remote viewing via web with password protection AND the ability to remote monitor using Remote Patrol and/or Spyglass.

Hi Reef,

In the Web Server Settings window, click the Account settings button, and for the user account you are using, make sure it has access to some cameras.

For example, to give it access to all the cameras, select the "All cameras" option in the bottom box, and check all the permissions options on the right (view live images, set camera mode, download captured footage etc.)

Once these permissions are set up correctly, you will be able to view the cameras in a web browser or iOS app using the username and password you have set up.

Hello Ben,

I had the All Cameras line selected, but not each individual camera. Once I went in and selected ALL CAMERAS and EACH OF THE CAMERAS so all items were highlighted, it worked as expected.
