M6 Neural Engines and Security Spy

My AI inquiries indicated Security Spy doesn't utilize the neural processors, the M6 distinquieses itself in this area. Could someone explain using the latest mini M6 vs the M5 pro for security spy, appreciate it as one of these is probably gonna be my entry point to SecSpy.

    Sounds like your AI led you astray there - SecuritySpy does in fact make extensive use of the Neural Engine in Apple Silicon chips. SecuritySpy uses neural networks both for motion detection (detecting a whether the frame contains interesting motion / where / what direction) and object detection (detecting the presence of humans / vehicles / animals / packages).     Regarding the M5 Pro vs. M6 comparison: you are right that the M6 excels in this area, as it contains a dual 16-core neural engine, so double the neural cores of the M5 Pro (not necessarily double the performance, but certainly substantially higher). However, note that SecuritySpy is also extensively optimised to make full use of other parts of the chip too: Media Engine, GPU, RAM and also of course CPU. On most of these, the M5 Pro wins.

    Ben, thanks for response. Presently using Blue Iris with no AI as my machine is very dated. Looking forward to upgrading with AI features and Windows is in my rear window, but I have no regrets.
