Accessing Dahua onboard SD Card over Network

Can SecuritySpy access a camera's local SD card? I am assuming that having the camera save footage to the SD card would provide the best quality since it doesn't rely on streaming and the network. Can SecuritySpy trigger the camera to record to its local storage along with streaming?

Second question, I can access the files through the camera's web interface, but is there a way to make the SD card available over the local network?

Many thanks for any assistance!

SecuritySpy cannot access on-camera SD-card storage, and the only way to access the camera's own recordings would be via the camera's own software or web interface. Such a feature would be impractical to implement in SecuritySpy, due to proprietary/differing access schemes offered by different cameras, and poor performance of SD card storage, especially when accessed over a network.

Simply provide SecuritySpy with its own fast local storage, such as an SSD drive connected by USB or Thunderbolt. This does not cause any degradation in terms of image quality, and ensures that SecuritySpy's file storage and retrieval mechanisms can operate at top performance.
