Capture all motion into one day-long movie?

I have all my cameras set to "Capture all motion into one day-long movie".

Is this the best approach?

I have noticed that if I lose SS for any reason (like a power failure) that the .unf file is not completed and I can not look at it.

If I do have a .unf file, is their a way to view the file?

Thoughts?

    I split it into 60 minute segments for this reason.

    Hi Jim, we don't recommend using this option, mainly because it can produce large files that are difficult to view remotely, and also because it makes the search in web and iOS more difficult. The files should not be left in an unfinished state if there is a power failure - SecuritySpy has a backup mechanism to prevent this - but this can still unfortunately happen if there is significant corruption to the file. In these cases, you can try our Movie Fixer app to try to recover the file.
