Feature Request: Browser notifications when viewing live stream
I leave a tab open in my browser to monitor cameras from the live feed. It would be very interesting if SecuritySpy could also send a notification to the browser client, to notify them of an event, so I know to flip over to the live feed.
Perhaps this could be an option when selecting which camera, format, size, etc. ?
Thanks as always, Ben!

Hi Justin, thanks for the suggestion, I think this is a good idea, we'll see what we can do in a future update.
A good alternative, if you're viewing on an Apple Silicon Mac, is to use our iOS app for monitoring. This provides a nice interface, including live video and captured files, and also has notification features. Even though this app was designed for iOS, it can be run on any Apple Silicon Mac.

Hi Justin, I've had a deeper look at the feasibility of this, and there's a problem in that the Notifications API offered by web browsers will only work over secure connections. For local-network connections, which is a common use case with SecuritySpy, HTTP is generally used, and this will prevent notifications from working.
We don't want to implement a feature that will only work in some circumstances, so this may be a no-go, but we'll do some testing to see if there are any workarounds.
