SecuritySpy Web Server Down?
  • I lost the ability to assess the SecuritySpy Web server yeserday on my iPad/iPhone and via the web browser. I can still access using Remote Patrol whilst on my internal wifi network, but no contact via the server. The web server test works OK using the SecuritySpy Settings menu. I haven't made any changes to my system that would prevent external access as far as I'm aware.

  • I am having the same issues...cannot log in via Remote Patrol...
  • The IP address of your internet connection may change from time to time (your ISP will provide you with a dynamic public IP address unless you pay extra for a static one). When this happens, SecuritySpy will update your DDNS name with the new IP address, but this may take 10 minutes or so to take effect. This may be what you experienced here. Fortunately this won't happen very often, and generally only when there is a disconnection/reconnection to the internet by your router.
