Storage options
I have started using an external SSD for recordings, but due to the SSD size I want to archive off to my unraid server.
However, the network drive seems to get accessed virtually constantly. And files get deleted on the SSD without getting transferred over the server. It basically doesn't work.
Is there a better way? For example, can the archive be set based on days retention - so only keep x days on the SSD and then archive in bulk to the server (preferably at night)?
I am recording continuously and for motion in case that makes a difference.

The way to set this up is to go to Settings > Cameras > Storage, set the SSD as the global (primary) location, and set the RAID as the archive location.
For this to work, you must also enable the "Auto-remove by space" option. When the SSD fills up to the specified threshold, the oldest files from the SSD will be moved the RAID. When the RAID fills up, the oldest files on the RAID will then be deleted.
Archiving works based on free space threshold, not file age.
If this is not working as you expect, email us and include a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop) and we will work with you directly to resolve any issues.
