Script ideas?
I have a trigger set on my driveway camera to activate a HomeKit Switch when a vehicle is detected. Then, in HomeKit I have an automation to play horn sound effect from Apple Music on multiple HomePods when the switch is activated.
This worked well for months.
Now, HomeKit misses the automation, or plays random music instead. Annoying and unreliable.
Has anyone else used scripts to keep the automation within SS or on the MacOS machine instead of relying on HomeKit automation?
Ideas: can a script tell MacOs to switch to Airplay, select multiple HomePods, play sound, and then turn off airplay? I don't want my MacOS to always play sound outputs to Airplay -only for the notification.
