Dahua new password not recognized
  • Hi,
    Upon changing the passwords for my 5 Dahua cameras, SS only connects with those cameras using the default password “admin”.
    How to fix this?
    SS versions 524 and 525b9 both have the same problem.

  • Hi Tom, if you are getting an authentication error then this is coming from the camera itself. There is no known bug in the way that SecuritySpy provides authentication to cameras.

    With Dahua cameras, they will temporarily block clients that provide incorrect authentication multiple times. This could have happened when you changed the camera passwords while SecuritySpy was using the previous passwords. The solution to this is to quit SecuritySpy, wait for 5 minutes or so, and then open it again. Does this resolve the issue?
