Foscam FI9961EP
  • New to group and apologies if the issue has already been discussed and resolved. Getting the following on my Foscam F19961EP cameras "Error from camera "Network camera", it will be closed. (Failed to decompress incoming video frame 22185,-12909 Image data decompression failed - bad data)." Searched forum without success and would appreciate any help. Have already tried suggestions for similar problems with other cameras and unable to resolve problem. Thanks much.
  • The first thing to check is that you are using the latest version of SecuritySpy.

    Next, this can happen if the camera is connected over WiFi with a poor signal. Try connecting the camera by wired Ethernet and/or reduce the camera's frame rate.

    Also, check the camera's video encoding settings. Ideally this should be H.264 Baseline or Main profile, at around 5-10fps, with VBR encoding if possible.

    Please let me know how you get on. Unfortunately we have seen lots of problems with Foscam cameras, which is why we recommend against them on our Supported Cameras list.
