Viewing “captured” files on IOS or Web?
  • When trying to view captured files on my iPhone 10s, or via the web interface, remotely from HMU home network, I get either. I thing or black screens.

    I have viewed them in the past, but not since the update to Catalina on my server. Anyone else experiencing this?? Yes, I’m on v 5xx.
  • This is not a known issue.

    Firstly, check that you are using the latest version of SecuritySpy.

    Next is to check the video and audio encoding of the data that is being written to the files: ideally you want H.264 or H.265 for video, and AAC for audio. If you locate one of the offending files in the Finder (if you are using the default capture destination, they will be in ~/SecuritySpy/Captured Files/), open it in QuickTime Player, and Get Info, what does it report for the video and audio format?
