Two way audio issue with 5.1.0
  • I have issue with two way audio after updated to new SecuritySpy 5.1.0. By sending audio via ios SecuritySpy app to camera, but no sound from camera speaker.

    I got this error in Open Log:
    "10/16/2019 22:46:26: Error performing computer-to-camera audio for the camera "Basement" 5.1.0,5345,403"

    I reverted back to previous version, it works fine.

    I think there is a bug in this version.

  • I think this is unlikely to be due to the 5.1 update - the error your getting indicates that the camera is replying with a 403 "Forbidden" status code, and there should not be any changes in the two-way audio implementation between 5.0.1 and 5.1. This could be a username/password issue, a temporary camera problem, or perhaps the camera already has an open audio stream from a different client. Try restarting your camera, hopefully this will fix it.

    Please let me know if you definitely see that 5.0.1 works while 5.1 doesn't, and I will look into this further.
  • I am pretty sure about the issue with all 6 camera, because I’ve been noticed that since I updated 5.1 beta versions and same error occurred. I thought the final version would be fixed. And I am sure 5.01 have no problem.
  • I updated to version 5.1.1b9 today, same errors while access two-way-audio with two of my 6 cameras:

    10/23/2019 13:58:51: Error performing computer-to-camera audio for the camera "Garage" 5.1.1b9,5345,403

    10/23/2019 13:58:57: Error performing computer-to-camera audio for the camera "Basement" 5.1.1b9,5345,403

    10/23/2019 14:09:23: Error performing computer-to-camera audio for the camera "Basement" 5.1.1b9,5345,403

    Back to version 5.0.1, no problems.

  • Are your cameras Hikvision? If so, I believe I have found and fixed the problem in the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 5.1.1b10). Please test and confirm. Thanks.
  • Just updated to version 5.1.1b10, it's all good. BTW all of my cameras are Hikvision.
