Cannot view security camera remotely

I have had SecuritySpy since June, 2017. I have not been successful in using the iOS app to view the camera away from my home network. Whenever I type in the address and port number as listed in the “How Do I Access This Server?” pop-up, the web browser does nothing. I am using port 8000 for the web server; 36000 for ONVIF settings, and; have a Sumpple 610 PTZ camera.

  • It's difficult to diagnose the problem from this limited information. Here is my general advice:

    - Make sure you are using the latest version of SecuritySpy.

    - Read through the Remote Access section of our Installation Manual.

    - If this doesn't resolve the problem, please email us and include a screenshot of the Web settings in SecuritySpy with the "How do I access this server" popup open, and we'll help you directly. If you have many any other settings changes (e.g. to your Mac's network setup or your router's port forwarding, please send screenshots of these too).
