This does sound strange. I can't reproduce this - for me all views in the multiplex are fluid with no freezing. It would be interesting to hear if any others are experiencing this. One possible cause is if your server is overloaded, could this…

External drives not mounting fast enough for SecuritySpy
This option has now been added to the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 5.3.3b9). You'll find it under Preferences > Storage. When you open SecuritySpy, if a disk takes more than a few seconds to appear, SecuritySpy will give fe…

External drives not mounting fast enough for SecuritySpy
Wow, that's a long time! I think it's probably best that we add an option in the general preferences so that the user can choose how long to wait. And then we should have a progress bar on the initial splash screen while waiting. I'll…

Need help getting Amcrest cameras settings to create video files
This sounds like a settings problem, probably you simply need to set a schedule for either Motion Capture or Continuous Capture recording. Please see the Recording and Schedules section of the user manual: https://www.bensoftware.com/securityspy/man…

Great to hear that. If you have seen this with your disks then it's likely that a few other users will experience this too, so we'll up the wait time a bit in the next update.

External drives not mounting fast enough for SecuritySpy
SecuritySpy waits around 25 seconds upon launch for any disks that aren't yet available. If this is not long enough we can increase this wait time. How long do your disks take to mount when you boot/restart the Mac?

Folders not deleting after date threshold
SecuritySpy uses a separate helper app called "AutoUpdate" to handle in-app updates, so this is probably what's being blocked by Little Snitch. The path to this app is ~/Library/Application Support/SecuritySpy/AutoUpdate.app, so if yo…

Dog / object AI detection
It's unlikely that we'd integrate such a package. For SecuritySpy, we need algorithms specifically trained on CCTV images in all lighting conditions, and that run on Apple's CoreML platform in real time. This is exactly how our own hu…

Folders not deleting after date threshold
Empty folders do get deleted, but this may happen some time after their containing files are deleted, due to the way the algorithm works. You don't need to manually do anything to keep this tidy - if you wait a bit you should see that the folde…

Reolink cameras
Hi @Senna_F1 I will take a look at the Wireshark capture you sent, but those errors are consistent with the camera sending bad RTSP data that cannot be interpreted. We have seen that this is common with certain Reolink cameras, and we have tried to …

Great to hear this resolves the issue. Hopefully there's still some life in the Seagate yet - the specific symptom you are describing does not indicate the disk has gone bad. But certainly the large and fast LaCie drive sounds like it's th…

Unifi G3 Instant $29 camera SecuritySpy compatible?
It doesn't look like it: on the page you link to, it says "Note: UniFi Protect is required to run this product". UniFi Protect is Ubiquiti's own software. That's a shame, as this seems like a neat camera otherwise.

At Startup- long delay in finding Capture Destination.
Hi Jay, It sounds like SecuritySpy has a stale bookmark to a previous disk that it's trying to resolve upon startup but can't. It gives up after around 20 seconds, hence the delay. The solution is to go to Preferences > Storage and m…

I agree, this would be a nice addition. Unfortunately for iOS this involves re-coding the entire media playing screen. However we want to do this in order to add the feature you are describing as well as a few others (e.g. a share button).

Error 800 is a timeout error, which means that no response was received. The other errors (835, 818, 801) are all problems with the stream, and wouldn't be possible if data weren't being received, so it's likely that data is being rec…

That sounds like it could very well be the problem - 1 GB is probably not a big enough buffer. I hope it continues to work with the new setting, let me know if you see any further problems with this.
