How often does SS check for a camera

Hi, I have a TAPO C425 that only comes on when it sees motion. It is setup with RTSP with SS and it shows up sometimes but not always. Is there a way to have SS always listening for a stream to become active? If not how should it be set up?

When the connection to a camera is lost, SecuritySpy initially attempts to reconnect to it immediately, then repeatedly with increasing gaps between attempts up to 30s, at which point it will continue to attempt a reconnection every 30s.

Unfortunately, battery-powered cameras basically can't be used with SecuritySpy. Batteries don't have the power to support continuous video streaming, which is what SecuritySpy need to do its work. Instead, such cameras sit in a dormant state most of the time, and only come to life briefly when their built-in PIR motion sensor detects some movement.

Thanks, it used to work but not every time but once I upgraded to version 6 it quit completely - I can’t figure out why….
