No Audio - Amcrest IP8M-DT3949EW-3AI


I recently purchased the Amcrest IP8M-DT3949EW-3AI with 2 way audio. However the Security Spy app does not transmit audio in either direction via the iOS app. Am I missing something in the configuration?

Audio is enabled in Security Spy




  • In macOS SecuritySpy, under Settings > Cameras > Device, try changing the Profile setting to "Amcrest". Does this get the audio working?

    If not, please email us and include a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop), and we will look into this further.
